Whistleblower

1. Purpose

This Whistleblowing Policy establishes procedures for reporting suspected wrongdoing or unethical conduct within the company. It aims to provide employees with a safe and confidential channel to raise concerns without fear of retaliation.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and other individuals working on behalf of the company.

3. Types of Concerns

This policy covers concerns related to:

  • Illegal activities: Violations of applicable laws, regulations, or company policies.
  • Unethical conduct: Behavior that deviates from accepted moral standards or company values.
  • Fraud: Intentional deception for personal gain.
  • Waste of company resources: Misuse or mismanagement of company assets.
  • Health and safety hazards: Risks to the well-being of employees or the public.
  • Discrimination or harassment: Unfair treatment based on protected characteristics.
  • Retaliation: Adverse actions taken against a person for reporting a concern.

4. How to Report a Concern

Concerns can be reported in the following ways:

  • Directly to a supervisor or manager: Discuss the issue privately and confidentially.
  • Human Resources Department: Contact the HR representative for guidance and assistance.
  • Ethics hotline: Call the designated hotline number to report concerns anonymously.
  • Written report: Submit a written report to the Ethics Officer or Compliance Officer.

5. Confidentiality

The company will make reasonable efforts to protect the confidentiality of whistleblowers. However, in some cases, it may be necessary to disclose the whistleblower’s identity to investigate the matter thoroughly or comply with legal requirements.

Protection from Retaliation

The company prohibits retaliation against any employee who reports a concern in good faith. Retaliation includes any adverse action taken against an employee, such as demotion, termination, or changes in work assignments.

Investigation

All reports will be investigated promptly and impartially. The company will take appropriate corrective action if the investigation reveals wrongdoing.

False Reports

False reports may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Additional Resources

The company may provide additional resources to assist employees in understanding and applying this policy, such as training or educational materials.

Review and Updates

This policy will be reviewed periodically and updated as necessary to reflect changes in laws, regulations, or company practices.
